Abstract

This article reflects on the local training in the field of jazz in Cuba, highlighting the ambiguous and at the same time decisive position of the academy, and the self-taught learning of improvisation and jazz thinking, turned into tradition. The management platform, becomes a reference for the configuration and legitimization of aesthetic judgments about jazz in Cuba.
